Filmmakers Roddy Tabatabai and John McCarthy created Change for Balance, a production company dedicated to bringing positive change to the world through perceptive films and entertaining media content. Friends since childhood, the two creators have traveled the globe to capture untold, remarkable stories about courageous people who dedicate their lives to balancing the world for good.
At Change for Balance, the film team creates high-level, quality content for film, television and other digital platforms. Their work has received over 500 million views online and has been featured in a number of national outlets such as CBS News, NBC Today, MSNBC, Fox, Yahoo, E!, MTV, Buzzfeed, and Upworthy.
Their first feature film, entitled Love & Bananas: An Elephant Story, received rave reviews from the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Hollywood Reporter, and Forbes. The film premiered in theaters throughout the U.S. and has toured Europe and Asia.
Change For Balance also partnered with RVCA Advocate Dustin Barca to document his journey from surfer and fighter to activist and politician in the film Aloha Aina Warrior, which received the Audience Award at the Newport Beach Film Festival and will be released to the public in the Fall of 2019.
